Abstract

Gamification represents a significant opportunity with great potential in terms of the evolution and improvement of processes and daily activities within the work environment, promoting aspects such as motivation and the development of human talent. It is essential that all business activities or efforts transformed into a game always remain within a thematic context, offer measurable, clear and concise indicators; and even accompanied by periodic reminders that show the constant progress. Added to all of the above, it also takes advantage of the social aspect, since interaction between collaborators occurs within an ethical environment and healthy competition that complements the implementation of said technique. By transforming a daily activity or task into a game or competition, it generates a feeling of winning in people which, in turn, forms part of the extrinsic motivation process, which is not always present in many work environments. The greater the integration of game elements into daily life or even highly demanding activities, the less monotony is and, therefore, productivity increases, thus generating great business benefits.
